The domain name

Serve the agency's website on your own address, or buy a domain name through ImmoBooking.

The domain name is set up in Organisation › Domain name. The website always also answers on its immobooking.be address.

Before you start

  • You need a website: without one, the page shows “First create your site: the domain name is its address.” and the Create the site link (see The website).
  • The whole team can read the page. Adding, removing, searching, buying, cancelling or renewing requires the “Domain names” right (by default the administrator and the manager).

Using a domain you own

  1. On the Your own domain name card, enter the domain, for example www.mon-agence.be.
  2. Click Add the domain. The message “Domain added: now set your DNS.” is shown.
  3. At your domain provider, create the record the page gives you, word for word (its type, name and value).
  4. If the page asks you to, also redirect the domain without “www” to the address with “www” (a “web redirect”).
  5. Wait for the status to change to “Active”.
  • Your e-mails and other domain settings do not change.
  • Two domains at most per website.
  • The domain is checked every 10 minutes. Once it points to ImmoBooking, the HTTPS certificate is installed automatically.
Status shownWhat it means
“Waiting for DNS”the record has not been seen yet
“DNS correct — certificate in progress”the domain points to ImmoBooking; the certificate is being prepared
“Active”the website answers on your domain
“Error”a problem is described next to it

Depending on the connection method, other statuses may be shown: “Cloudflare is waiting for your record”, “Recognised by Cloudflare”, “The record no longer points to us”, “Removed at Cloudflare”, “Blocked by Cloudflare”.

Possible refusals:

  • “This domain name is invalid (and not an immobooking.be address).”
  • “Two domains at most per website.”
  • “This domain is already added.”
  • “This domain is already used by another agency.”

Removing a domain

  1. Click Remove next to the domain.
  2. Confirm. The domain no longer serves your website; the immobooking.be address becomes its address again.

A name bought through ImmoBooking cannot be removed here.

Buying a domain name

ImmoBooking buys the name for you, points it to your website and renews it every year. The name is registered in ImmoBooking's name; if you leave, it is transferred to you on request.

Before buying, complete your billing details: company number, address and e-mail (see My agency).

  1. On the Buy a domain name card, enter The name you want (for example dupont-immo), with or without .be, .com or .eu.
  2. Click Search. Each name is shown as “Available” or “Taken”, with the price for the first year and the renewal price.
  3. On an available name, click Buy.
  4. Read the confirmation, then click Pay followed by the amount (or Not now).
  5. Pay by card or Bancontact on the payment page.
  6. Back on the page: “Payment received: we are ordering your name, it will be online within the hour.”.

What happens next:

  • nothing is ordered before payment;
  • an invoice is issued on payment (see Subscription and billing);
  • the name is ordered, pointed to your website and attached to it: you have nothing to set up.

Possible refusals:

  • “The price may have changed: search again.”
  • “This name has just been taken.”
  • “Buying domain names is not open yet.”

The Your names list shows each name with its status and expiry date (“Expires on”).
