Searching for a property
Look for a property to buy or rent, filter, sort, use the map and draw an area.
Search opens from the home page, or from the Buy and Rent links at the top of the portal. No account is needed.
Starting a search from the home page
- Choose Buy or Rent (default: Buy).
- In Where, type a Belgian town or postcode. Places are suggested from 2 characters.
- Choose a Property type, or leave All types.
- Click Search.
Below the form, What are you looking for? offers shortcuts: Houses, Apartments, For rent, New build, EPC A or B, Land. Popular cities opens the properties of eight major cities directly.
Buying or renting
At the top of the results, the Buy and Rent tabs separate sales from rentals. The two are never mixed.
When you switch tabs, the place, the radius and the property type are kept; the prices are reset.
The filters
Open the Filters panel, set what interests you, then click Apply. Clear all removes all filters.
| Filter | What you can choose |
|---|---|
| Where | a Belgian municipality or postcode, for example “Namur”, “5000” or “5000 Namur” |
| Radius | This town only, + 2 km, + 5 km, + 10 km, + 20 km or + 50 km |
| Property type | Any, House, Apartment, Land, Investment building, Retail, Office, Garage, Other |
| Minimum price (€) and Maximum price (€) | for rentals: Minimum rent (€ / month) and Maximum rent (€ / month) |
| Bedrooms | Any, or at least 1 to 5 |
| Bathrooms | Any, or at least 1 to 3 |
| Min. surface (m²) and Max. surface (m²) | in whole numbers |
| Energy certificate | the lowest class you accept, from “A++ or better” to “G or better” |
| Condition | New, Excellent, Good, Needs refreshing, To renovate, To demolish |
| Built or renovated since | a year |

If the minimum exceeds the maximum, the message “The minimum exceeds the maximum.” is shown and the search does not run.
On a phone, the Filters button opens the panel, and See results closes it.
Sorting the results
In Sort by, choose:
- Relevance: featured properties first, then the most recent;
- Price, low to high or Price, high to low;
- Newest;
- Largest surface;
- Price per m².
Reading the results
- 24 properties per page. Move from one page to another with Previous and Next.
- Each property shows its photo, its price (“… / month” for rentals, or “Price on request” / “Rent on request”), its title, its address, its bedrooms, bathrooms, surface and energy class.
- The street is only shown if the advertiser publishes the exact address.
- Badges may be added: “Under option”, “Under offer”, “Featured”.
If the place has published prices, a Market prices in link (followed by the municipality) leads to its prices (see Property prices and service providers).
| Message shown | What to do |
|---|---|
| “No property matches this search.” | Widen the radius, remove a filter or clear the drawn area. |
| “We can't find « … ». Try a Belgian town name or postcode.” | The place you typed is not recognised. |
The map
The results are also shown on a map. On a phone, switch between the two with Map and List.
- Each property is a marker with its price. Click it: a bubble opens with View property.
- Nearby markers are grouped; zoom in to separate them.
- A property whose address is not published is placed approximately (“Approximate location”).
- After moving the map, click Search in this zone to search in the part shown.
Drawing an area
- Click Draw a zone.
- Click on the map to place the points of the area (at least 3, at most 50).
- Click Finish the area, or double-click.
While drawing: Remove last point, Start over or Cancel.
Only the properties inside the area remain. The Drawn zone badge reminds you of this; its cross, or Clear the zone, removes the area.
Keeping or sharing a search
- The page address contains the whole search: copy it, or add it to your browser's bookmarks.
- To be told about new properties for this search, create an alert (see Alerts).
